It all started with beads. Lots and lots of beads. And this urge to create...and share. So I gathered beads. Many kinds of beads. So many beads. Good grief, there’s a lot of beads!
I have always been an artist wanna-be . . .ha!
And then...life happened. Ha! Lots of beads and nothing made. Supermom I am not...But other people make beautiful things. So I thought I would start there and Blythe Baubles was born.
“Clothes aren’t going to change the world. The women who wear them will.” -Anne Klein
What we wear doesn’t make us who we are...I have long believed the old adage you should never judge a book by its cover.
But something I have noticed is what I wear affects how I feel. It doesn’t define me. And it’s not about what other people think. It’s just a feeling...about me...for myself.
Sure, if other people like it, I appreciate their compliments...and it adds to my happiness. But it’s just as much how I feel about something when I look at it, or wear it. Actually more so...
I recently realized this concept is the crux of my business...Jewelry is a relatively easy way to express yourself. It evokes feelings...from sentiment to simple joy.
And I love spreading happiness...even joy. When I was selling in teachers lounges, the excitement those amazing women showed when they saw my display...and the simple joy they expressed when they found what they wanted. Something that brought happiness...either for themselves, or for someone else as a gift.
So, you see, it’s like a ripple in a lake...it keeps growing and moving forward.
And that is why I am in this business.
Wishing much happiness now and in the future!
